ABOUT TRAWKAS
Trawka’s Market has been a steady and reliable staple in the Erie community for over 80 years now. Recognizable as a small mom & pop grocer, it has been a popular destination where shoppers can expect to see familiar and friendly faces. Here you will find the freshest and highest quality meats, along with well stocked selections of homemade soups, ethnic specialties, dried goods and produce.
Adrian & Nadia Pop have not only kept the traditional favorites, as well as the loved and loyal employees, but they have ADDED more options and a multitude of items. Stop in and enjoy the increased variety of lunch items, as well as many new flavors of sausage, and beef sticks. Adrian’s cheeseburger and wedding soup are just two of the latest favorites, and who doesn’t love his incredible Romanian potatoes? If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll definitely want to try Nadia’s delicious Romanian dessert delicacies.

ABOUT THE OWNERS, ADRIAN & NADIA POP
In February of 1996, Adrian & Nadia Pop made their way from Transylvania, Romania to cheery Erie, Pennsylvania. Their love of this country led them to seek citizenship, both becoming US citizens in the early 2000’s. They have both been hard working, and long-time chefs, and have held positions of management in the food business. They come by this naturally, as Adrian’s mother, Silvia Pop, was a chef for the Romanian Army. Adrian, held the position of head chef and kitchen manager at Jr’s Last Laugh Comedy Club for 20 years, as well as acting as managing director at the club. Nadia, is also an incredible chef, in her own right, and is head breakfast chef at Sheraton Bayfront Restaurant where she has managed the kitchen since (help me out here). Both have received many awards and accolades for their cooking prowess. It has always been their lifelong dream to own their own business, and in September of 2023, their dreams came true when they were able to acquire Trawkas Market! This is such a perfect fit for these two cuisine connoisseurs who incredibly, even enjoy cooking huge meals for friends on their day off!! (However, they no longer see many of those!)
